Cherry Cherry Boom Boom

100 things to do before you die. Taste these cherries! The contrast between the crunchy cherries against the jelly is like an explosion in your mouth. The Japanese never fail to surprise me, they basically think of everything! My good friend from Tokyo unexpectedly arrived in Shanghai last night with, hands down, one of the best sweetie babies I have ever tasted in my entire life, this is not an exaggeration by the way. These Kyoto beauties is something you must try before you die. Here comes the food porn, enjoy ; )

Baked baby chicks (Cakes not actual chickens)!

How can you eat these without feeling the guilt!? Look at them beady eyes aww~~~So adorable.

The Chic Globe Trotter

Sunday is a day of reflecting the embarrassing moments of last nights shenanigans....or prancing around my apartment with my new cabin trolley. If your always jumping from city to city then it is always a good idea to invest in something durable and safe. Let me introduce the chicest piece of luggage to travel with....The Rimowa travel case. Even though I love my baby Samsonite, who has been through some extreme conditions, it was time for a change. The first time I saw this cabin trolley was when I was on a business trip in Hong Kong. What I love about Rimowa is it's retro-chic look and vintage lining. This is NOT dent proof and there is certainly going to be some hardcore war damage after my first flight with it. On that note do not buy this if you want it to always look brand spanking new...But if your like me and like the vintage 'been through hell' look then it is a fantastic investment. This bag is seriously slick and with a 5 year guarantee it must be bullet proof! I have not tested it out yet but I have heard some positive reviews...for 500 pounds it better be worth it.

So Saturdays in Shanghai are for cafes, shopping, the occasional chin wag on Skype and a Chinese foot massage at Dragonfly..... Tis the most therapeutic activity that 99% of the female population enjoy. For 150 rmb (around 15 quid) you will receive a 60 minute massage from an extremely kind foot masseuse. Throw is an extra 11 quid and she will give you a good old foot scrub and pedicure. I have good reason to do this every week...unfortunately I have to try on all the shoe samples, and since I am the only female in my office with size 37 feet I have the joy of my feet being put under some serious scrutiny. As wonderful as this sounds, it really is the hardest part of my job. Working with the biggest foot critics known to man is not the most comfortable situation to be in,  especially when they criticize EVERY woman who walks down the street 'Look how long that womans toes are...did you see her hairy toes'! So people are working with my feet everyday and the least I can do is make them smell good and look pretty! Since working as a shoe designer I have realised the importance of paying special attention to your feet...but ladies I will give you a lecture about that later!

A Date With My Wardrobe

I just recently moved into my new apartment. The first thing I noticed was the Japanese style spare room which now accommodates my attire....and work. My spare room has 'walk in wardrobe' potential so thats why I have decided to reconstruct it!! My clothes would be in chaos if I didn't have my cleaner to rearrange them for me everyday. I still don't have enough room to showcase all my clothes, truth be told I have a huge box of clothes to give away. I have taken a few snaps of just 'a few' of the shoes I have...seriously a girl can have too many shoes.

Grey kid suede boots with strange shaped wedge heel... designed by me

I live in these shoes. Nubuck wedges...the first shoes I ever designed (teary moment, sniff, sniff)

If shoes were edible I would be obese

I am a shoe designer and the natural thing to do is to spend everything you earn on shoes...and if your as lucky as I am, then there is no need to spend if you have an endless supply of free shoes... just one of the perks of being in this industry ; )
